Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Studia Iuridica Auctoritate Universitatis Pécs Publicata – Essays of Faculty of Law, University of Pécs Yearbook of 2025

Dear Colleagues,

The Studia Iuridica Auctoritate Universitatis Pécs Publicata – Essays of Faculty of Law, University of Pécs Yearbook of [Year] is an annually published, Open Access English language journal (Yearbook) of the Faculty of Law, University of Pécs, with the aim of presenting the research results of the recent period.

The Editorial Board accepts articles in any field of the legal sciences. The maximum length of the article is 40.000 characters (including spaces and footnotes). In addition, a one-sentence introduction of the author, 4-5 keywords and an abstract with a cca. 1500 characters (including spaces) are required. The manuscripts should be sent to Tünde Éva CSOKNYA (studia@ajk.pte.hu). Only original publications are accepted. The manuscripts shall fully comply with the formal requirements!

Deadline for submission of expression of interest:          30.09.2025

Deadline for article submission:                                        10.11.2025

The scheduled date for publishing:                                   30.05.2026

All submitted manuscripts are subject to a double-blind peer review process. The accepted manuscripts will be subject to professional language supervision. Due to our open access policy, all the published articles will be uploaded to a website (https://journals.lib.pte.hu/index.php/studiaiuridica)  and will be fully accessible. All the issues of the Studia Iuridica are also available in Hein Online (heinonline.org).

Formal requirements

File format: .doc, .docx, .rtf

The manuscripts shall contain

  • Title and the name of the author
  • One-sentence introduction
  • Abstract
  • 4-5 keywords
  • The text of the article

Language: English

Length of the abstract and article: Abstract: cca. 1500 characters (including spaces), article: maximum 40.000 characters (including spaces and footnotes).

Highlighting in the text: with italic characters.

The style of the text

Times New Roman CE, 11 pt, justified, single line spacing

The style of the headings

  • The title of the article
    • Times New Roman CE, 16 pt, bold
  • The author of the article (Family name, Forename)
    • TIMES NEW ROMAN CE, 16 PT, BOLD, SMALL CAPITAL
  • Authors may use up to three levels of headings with the following style and numbering:

o First level: 

1. Times New Roman CE, 14 pt, bold

o Second level:

1.1 Times New Roman CE, 13 pt, bold

o Third level: 

1.1.1 Times New Roman CE, 12 pt, bold

Citation and bibliography

The citations and notes should be put in footnotes.

The form of the citation and bibliography shall follow the “The Chicago Manual of Style, 18th edition - Notes and Bibliography” (NOT the Author-Date) referencing system.
