About the Journal
Hungarológiai Évkönyv is an annual journal of Hungarian Studies, published yearly since 2000. Its mission is to bring together and present current questions, approaches, and achievements in the mediation of the Hungarian language and culture within an interdisciplinary and multicultural framework. The journal welcomes scholarly articles, reviews, and interviews—written in Hungarian or other languages—that address the Hungarian language; its learning and teaching as an additional (heritage, second, or foreign language); as well as Hungarian literature, culture, ethnography, history, society, and the arts, including their mediation and reception from a Hungarological perspective.
As an academic forum, the journal aims to build bridges between research centres and educational institutions dealing with the Hungarian language and culture both within and outside Hungary. It seeks to support the development of research in Hungarian Studies and in the field of Hungarian as an additional language, to strengthen the professional training of future scholars and practitioners, and to promote the exchange of expertise among diverse academic communities.
